Workerlly (“we”, “our”, “us”, or the “Company”) or Workerlly Tech Private Limited respects your privacy and is committed to protecting the personal data of workers (“Workers”) and customers who use our mobile application (the “Workerlly App”) and related services (the “Services”). This Privacy Policy describes our practices regarding collection, use, storage, retrieval, processing, disclosure, transfer, and protection of such data (“Information”) when you access or use the App, our website, or interact with us offline.

Please read this Privacy Policy carefully. By registering, using the App, or providing us your Information, you consent to the practices described here.

  1. User Acceptance
  • By using the Workerlly App or engaging with our Services, you accept this Privacy Policy.
  • We may update this policy from time to time; the updated version will be posted on the App/website, and changes will be effective immediately.
  • If you don’t agree with any part of this policy, please do not use the App or share your Information with us.
  1. Definitions
  • “Customer”: Any individual or business who is using Workerlly app to use the services.
  • “Worker”: Any individual (maid, driver, cook, cleaner, gardener, technician, tailor, etc.) who signs up on the Workerlly platform to provide services.
  • “Device”: The smart phone, tablet or other device used to access the Workerlly App or website.
  • “Device Identifier”: Unique identifiers of a device (for example, IP address, mobile ID).
  • “Personal Data”: Information that can identify you, such as name, phone number, email, address.
  • “Usage Data”: Information about how you use the App: session times, features used, logs, etc.
  • “TPSP” (Third-Party Service Provider): External service providers working on our behalf (payment processors, analytics providers, KYC verifiers, etc.).

When you register or use the Workerlly App, we collect:

  • Account Details: Name, mobile number, email, password, date of birth, gender.
  • Professional Information: Your work category (e.g., cleaner, driver, gardener), skills, experience, work preferences, availability.
  • Identification Documents: Government IDs (Aadhaar, driving license, PAN, etc.), photographs/selfie for verification.
  • Location Permission: Our app collects location data to enable job tracking, navigation, and accurate service delivery, even when the app is running in the background. This data is used strictly for service-related operations and is not shared with any third parties.
  • Camera Permission: Used for capturing selfie or pictures, capturing required documents. The app does not access or collect images from the device gallery.
  • Call Permission: Used only to allow users to call customers or support directly from within the app.
  • Notification Permission: Used to display job updates, booking alerts, and important service-related notifications.
  • Background Location & Foreground Service: Required for continuous job tracking during active tasks and navigation.
  • No Storage / Media Access: Our app does not read, scan, or access user photos or videos. Any file download uses Android’s secure file picker (SAF) and does not require READ/WRITE permissions.
  • Banking Details: Bank account number or UPI ID for payouts.
  • Communication Inputs: Feedback, ratings, customer reviews you provide.
  • Support Requests: Any messages, calls, videos, audio, photos, files or tickets you raise to the Workerlly support team.
  1. Information Collected Automatically

When you use the App, we automatically collect:

  • Location Data:
    • Real-time (when you are marked available for work).
    • Background location (if you permit), to help with job assignment, safety, and tracking.
  • Device Information: Device type, OS version, Device Identifier, app version.
  • Usage / Analytics Data: Features you use, time spent, logs, crashes.
  • Media Files: Images or documents you upload (for identity verification or proof of work).
  • Cookies / Local Storage: If applicable via web or hybrid components of our App.
  1. Third-Party Data

We may receive some information about you from third parties (TPSPs), such as:

  • KYC / background-check providers (for identity verification).
  • Analytics partners.
  • Payment gateways.
  • Publicly available sources (if relevant).
  1. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected Information for:

  1. Account Management & Service Provision
    • To create and maintain your worker account.
    • To verify your identity and evaluate eligibility to offer services.
  2. Job Matching
    • Assigning appropriate tasks/jobs based on your location, skills, and availability.
    • Displaying worker profile to customers (name, picture, rating).
  3. Communication
    • Enabling in-app chat and call with customers through anonymized / masked numbers.
    • Sending service notifications, job alerts, earnings information, policy updates.
  4. Payment & Settlements
    • Transferring your earnings to your bank or UPI.
    • Generating payouts, invoices, or settlement records.
  5. Safety, Verification & Fraud Prevention
    • Performing background checks, KYC, and document verification.
    • Monitoring and investigating potential fraud, misuse, or misconduct.
  6. Analytics & Platform Improvement
    • Understanding how you use the App to improve its usability.
    • Aggregating data to analyze demand, geographic trends, or performance.
  7. Legal / Regulatory Compliance
    • Complying with applicable laws, court orders or government requests.
    • Sharing data with law enforcement or regulators if required.

    • For administrative tasks, customer support, dispute resolution.

We share data with service providers who help us run the platform (e.g., payment partners, analytics providers, background-check agencies). These providers only access data necessary for their tasks and must protect your data per contractual obligations.

When you accept a job, we may share limited personal details (name, profile photo, rating) so that customers can identify you.

  1. Legal and Safety Disclosures

We may share Information with government or law enforcement if required by law or to protect the rights, property or safety of Workerlly, its users, or the public.

  1. Business Transfers

If we merge, sell, or reorganize our business, your personal data may be transferred to the successor entity, subject to this policy.

  1. Aggregated / Anonymized Data

We may use or share de-identified or aggregated usage data (statistics, trends) for research, marketing, or business insights; such data does not directly identify you.

  • Access to your data is restricted to authorized personnel or systems on a need-to-know basis.

  • We keep your personal data for as long as your Workerlly account is active.
  • After you deactivate your account, we may retain certain information (such as transaction history, location logs) for a defined period to resolve disputes, prevent fraud, or comply with legal obligations.
  • When data is no longer required for these purposes, we may delete it or anonymize it.

As a Worker, you have the right to:

  • Access and update the personal data in your Workerlly profile.
  • Correct or delete inaccurate or outdated information.
  • Deactivate or delete your account (subject to resolving any pending payments or jobs).
  • Withdraw consent for certain data processing (though this may limit features).

Workerlly’s services are intended for individuals who can legally contract under applicable law (typically 18+). We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors.

  • These help us remember your preferences, analyze usage patterns, and improve user experience.
