Stay Respectful & Responsible

For Workers and Clients to establish a trusting and responsible relationship, we recommend the following best practices:

For Workers (Independent workers:

  1. Professionalism: Always communicate clearly, dress appropriately, mind your own work, request politely, stay humble and ready to help and be punctual. Offer your best work and value client’s time and privacy.
  2. Safety First: Always ensure you have the proper tools, knowledge, and personal protective equipment (PPE) for the tasks you perform. If you are asked to work on height or ladders to perform your task then either use a folding ladder or platform ladder and if a client refuses to offer such a safe ladder, ask for someone who can hold the ladder while you are using a less safe/risky ladder.
  3. Tools and Equipements: Go with some handy tools and equipment which are handy to use to perform your daily tasks. If you can carry a small kit of accessories (to be sold)) which are useful and used to perform your task that could save time and give you some extra profit if the client agrees to buy from you else use whatever client is providing to you.
  4. Transparency: Clearly discuss the scope of the job and the expected outcome with the Client before starting the work. If any changes or issues arise, keep the Client informed. If possible ask for vacate the work area so you can work freely and distraction-free.
  5. Respect the Property: Treat the Client’s property with care and respect. Avoid any actions that could lead to damage or cause a disruption at the work site.
  6. Adherence to Local Laws: Ensure that the work you are performing complies with local laws, regulations, and safety standards.
  7. Value for Money – Offer your best work and don’t take any breaks during your working hours especially when a task is performed for a short time of 2-3 hours. If the task is longer than 3-4 hours, you can take a 20-30 mins break for rest, eat/drink, toilet use etc. inform the client about it or discuss it with the client before starting your work. Try to finish your work on time and don’t be lazy or slow at work to make some extra money but upset the client.
  8. Ask for feedback and suggestions: After completing the work, ask for feedback and suggestions from clients which will help you to overcome your weaknesses (if any). Ensure the client for quality of work and after services (if any).

For Clients (Work Providers):

  1. Meet & Greet: Meet the worker with a smile. Ask for simple water on arrival and offer water and lemonade or tea if the task is longer.
  2. Don’t be bossy: Stay humble, respectful all the time. If you are unsatisfied with work or need any extra service, be requested not to be bossy.
  3. Clear Instructions: Provide clear and detailed instructions to the Worker. This will help avoid misunderstandings and ensure the task is completed to your satisfaction.
  4. Safety and Security: Ensure that the work environment is safe and suitable for the task. Inform the Worker of any potential hazards that may exist on the premises.
  5. Tools and Material: Any tool or equipment must be provided by client to worker. If there will be any material to be used that also will be provided by the client (you). Make sure you are provided with the best tools and equipment which are required to deliver you the best quality work possible. If worker is bringing his/her own tools and accessories, better discuss with him if he will charge any extra for that or its included in the offered price.
  6. Respect for Workers: Treat Workers respectfully and professionally. Workers are hungry for respect and do better work when you show some respect or complement their work. Understand that they are independent contractors and not employees of Workerlly.
