Cancellation Policy

This Cancellation & Refund Policy (“Policy”) applies to all bookings, services, and transactions made through the Workerlly Tech Private Limited platform, including the Workerlly website and mobile application.

By using the platform, customers and workers/freelancers agree to comply with this Policy.


1. Service Categories

Workerlly provides two types of job bookings:

1.1 Instant Jobs

Jobs requiring immediate or near-immediate service fulfillment.

1.2 Scheduled Jobs

Jobs booked in advance, typically between 1 hour and up to 3 days before the service start time.


2. Important Booking Conditions

2.1 Before Booking Confirmation

Customers may:

  • modify job details,
  • change timing,
  • update service requirements, or
  • exit/cancel the booking process

before confirming the booking and completing advance payment.

No cancellation charges shall apply before booking confirmation and successful payment.


2.2 After Booking Confirmation

Once:

  • a worker/freelancer is assigned,
  • the booking is confirmed, and
  • advance payment is successfully completed,

the booking shall be treated as a confirmed service request.

After confirmation:

  • modifications may not be allowed,
  • rescheduling may depend on worker availability,
  • cancellation charges may apply as per this Policy.

2.3 Advance Payment

Advance payment is collected to:

  • reserve worker availability,
  • confirm booking commitment,
  • avoid fake or non-serious bookings,
  • compensate worker time and platform operational costs.

Advance payments may be partially or fully non-refundable depending on the cancellation stage.


3. Instant Job Cancellation Policy

3.1 Customer Cancellation Before Payment

Customers may cancel an instant job free of charge before making payment.

No cancellation charges shall apply.


3.2 Customer Cancellation After Payment but Before Job Start

If:

  • the worker has been assigned or selected, and
  • advance payment has been completed,

and the customer cancels before service starts:

  • up to 50% of the booked amount may be charged as cancellation fees,
  • remaining eligible balance, if any, may be refunded.

3.3 Customer Cancellation After Job Start

A job shall be considered officially started once the worker begins the service using the Start Job OTP provided by the customer.

If the customer cancels after work has started:

  • 100% of the booked amount shall become payable,
  • additional hourly charges may apply for extended work duration.

If work exceeds the initially booked duration, extra charges shall be calculated proportionately based on the applicable hourly rate.


3.4 Worker Cancellation Before Reaching Customer Location

If the worker cancels before reaching the customer location:

  • the customer shall not be charged cancellation fees,
  • eligible paid amounts shall be refunded as per applicable policy.
  • Workerlly actively monitors worker cancellations. Workers who frequently cancel confirmed jobs or fail to show up are subject to platform penalties and account suspension.

3.5 Worker Cancellation During Ongoing Work

If the worker cancels after work has started:

  • the customer shall only be charged for completed work hours,
  • incomplete or unused duration may be adjusted or refunded.

Example:

If the worker completes 1 hour and 20 minutes of work and cancels:

  • the customer may be charged only for 1 completed hour,
  • the remaining unused amount, if applicable, may be refunded.

4. Scheduled Job Cancellation Policy

4.1 Customer Cancellation More Than 1 Hour Before Scheduled Start

If the customer cancels more than 1 hour before the scheduled service time:

  • up to 50% of the booked amount may be charged as cancellation fees.

4.2 Customer Cancellation Within 1 Hour Before Scheduled Start

If cancellation occurs within the last 1 hour before scheduled start time:

  • 100% of the booked amount may become non-refundable.

4.3 Customer Cancellation After Scheduled Job Start

Once the worker starts the service using the Start Job OTP:

  • full job charges shall become payable,
  • additional hourly charges may apply for extra work duration.

4.4 Worker Cancellation Before Scheduled Job Start

If the worker cancels before the scheduled service begins:

  • the customer shall not be charged,
  • eligible paid amounts shall be refunded.
  • Workerlly actively monitors worker cancellations. Workers who frequently cancel confirmed jobs or fail to show up are subject to platform penalties and account suspension.

4.5 Worker Cancellation During Ongoing Scheduled Job

If the worker cancels during ongoing work:

  • charges shall apply only for completed work hours,
  • incomplete duration may not be chargeable.

Example:

If work continues for 1 hour and 20 minutes before cancellation:

  • charges may apply only for 1 completed hour,
  • remaining unused amount, if applicable, may be refunded.

5. Refund Policy

5.1 Refund Timelines

Refund timelines may vary depending on:

  • payment gateway,
  • bank processing,
  • payment method,
  • financial institution policies.

Refunds may take:

  • a few minutes, or
  • up to 5–7 working days

to reflect in the customer’s account.


5.2 Non-Refundable Charges

The following may be non-refundable where applicable:

  • platform fees,
  • convenience fees,
  • taxes,
  • payment gateway charges,
  • processing charges.

5.3 Partial Refunds

Workerlly reserves the right to process partial refunds based on:

  • completed work duration,
  • worker availability,
  • operational expenses,
  • cancellation stage,
  • dispute findings.

6. Rescheduling Policy

  • Rescheduling requests are subject to worker availability.
  • Workerlly does not guarantee successful rescheduling after booking confirmation.
  • Additional charges may apply for revised timings, extended duration, peak hours, or urgent requests.

7. No-Show Policy

7.1 Customer No-Show

If:

  • the worker reaches the customer location, and
  • the customer is unavailable, unreachable, or refuses service without valid reason,

the booking may be treated as completed/cancelled and applicable charges may apply.


7.2 Worker No-Show

If the assigned worker fails to report without valid reason:

  • the customer may receive a replacement worker (subject to availability), or
  • eligible refunds may be initiated.

8. Disputes & Platform Rights

Workerlly reserves the right to:

  • investigate disputes,
  • review platform logs and communication,
  • hold or adjust payouts/refunds,
  • recover losses caused by fraud, abuse, or policy violations,
  • suspend or terminate accounts involved in misuse.

The platform’s decision regarding disputes, refunds, cancellations, and payouts shall be final to the extent permitted under applicable law.


9. Fraudulent or Misuse Activities

The following activities may result in account suspension or legal action:

  • fake bookings,
  • repeated cancellations,
  • payment fraud,
  • misuse of promotional offers,
  • abusive behavior,
  • manipulation of platform policies.

10. Service Start Confirmation

The following may be treated as valid proof of work commencement:

  • Start Job OTP confirmation,
  • worker check-in records,
  • platform tracking logs,
  • system-generated timestamps,
  • customer communication records.

11. Limitation of Liability

Workerlly acts as a technology platform connecting customers and workers/freelancers.

Workerlly shall not be held responsible for:

  • indirect losses,
  • personal disputes between users,
  • service dissatisfaction beyond reasonable platform control,
  • delays caused by weather, traffic, emergencies, or unforeseen circumstances.

12. Policy Updates

Workerlly reserves the right to:

  • modify,
  • amend,
  • update, or
  • replace

this Policy at any time without prior notice.

Updated versions shall become effective upon publication on the website or mobile application.
